maybe they thought if they nominated paul ryan they could take advantage of what they believed to be massive culturally conservative white working-class voter but doesn't seem to be happening. they are making some progress among white working-class voters according to the pole and some progress among college graduates but nowhere close to what is needed to take the state. they are not able to master the state in the face of demographic change and demographic patterns. florida is a state that if the romney campaign loses florida their chances of winning the 2012 election are close to zero. at this point the obama campaign is running a little bit ahead in florida by several points
